Jka for special needs children

The Jeremy Krauss Approach was developed by Jeremy Krauss and is a unique way of helping Special Needs Children learn, grow and develop, based on the work of Dr. Feldenkrais.
The primary focus is on helping Special Needs Children develop their potential and abilities – physically, mentally and emotionally.
It supports a child to learn, change and overcome developmental challenges of various kinds through a process of Progressive Developmental Abilities Formation.

The various developmental challenges and disorders that JKA for Children works with include: Cerebral Palsy, Spasticity due to accidents, childhood stroke, autism spectrum, genetic disorders, brachial plexus injury, scoliosis and various undiagnosed developmental delays and difficulties and many developmental disorders and challenges seen in children.

My work with children

I have had a very personal interest in working with children since the beginning of my feldenkrais trainingThis began when my baby nephew had a brain injuryHe has been my greatest teacher, and through my immersion into working with him for the last 10 years, and living through the experiences as a family has given me unique experience, which I am very fortunate to be able to bring into my work with other children now.

To read more about how I started working with children and JKA see A Personal Story of Working with Children, an article I wrote originally for Feldenkrais Awareness Week.

Working with me

I work with children in my practice in Hertfordshire, and in London.  I also travel internationally to teach intensive weeks with groups of children.  To find out more you can email me and I'll be happy to talk to you about your child, or about your group if you'd like to organise an intensive.

JKA Workshops

I offer JKA Introductory Workshops for parents, practitioners, and open to all adults to experience some of the basics of the work, giving a very different insight into your own development, your child's experience, and giving fresh perspectives for anyone working with children.  Contact me to find out the next workshop, or if you would like to organise a workshop.
